We work from period photographs, official histories, technical manuals, war diaries and archival film. Where sources disagree we say so rather than picking the more dramatic version.
Restoration honesty
Every restored frame is labelled as a restoration. We never present a reconstruction as an original photograph.

Found an error? Tell us. Corrections are published against the original article, not quietly deleted.
